It's good to be free So good to be free Comfortable with everything So good to be free To sit inside the circle of silence To be raised bereft of this history To not grow up knowing deprivation We're all trying to be Someone somewhere between wealth and conscience With no one to lead, tell the whole story The paths are long laid, to be led is easy See the image sharpen Scratch away at the surface See the image sharpen Tear away the upper crust It's good to be free So good to be free For all time it was always about us That's if you believe what you read Clear your mind, clear your mind See the image sharpen Scratch away at the surface See the image sharpen Tear away the upper crust See the image sharpen History's writ by all of us See the image sharpen Tear away the upper crust It's good to be free So good to be free Comfortable with everything So good to be free So good to be free

Groove 7 04:51
It's kinda stupid this fascination A hall of souls all one in motion The driving pulse our motivation Like a siren's call Wired to the wall of sound Ruthless in its mission Clubbing each into submission Relieving all of their volition But my heart is trying to break it To keep it real Or so they say The body, the machine A creeping aural virus No escape, no one gets out alive A perception infection injection Goes straight to the spine Replacing pain and fatigue with desire Mind is motion, pulse is racing Vision afire The body, the machine Technology driving me Smash myself to pieces but I submit my whole to this Get myself into gear to go on with Lose it in the sanctity of the sound Open my eyes, absorb the theatre to be beheld all around Defining space comes down so quickly Drawn in and around Put myself in the picture, paint the lines in and get down Seed is sown now I've come out to play Bring the sky down Melt the walls away Seed is sown now I've come out to play Bring the sky down Melt the walls away Animate my soul digitally I'll take it all and blow it into space Animate my soul digitally I'll take it all and blow it into space The body, the machine Technology driving me Smash myself to pieces trying to find the living heart that breathes That breathes

Pencil Dick 03:43
It's all started by the smallest little pencil prick which decides shit Puts a space between good and evil and that's it I can't dePsypher the logic Yet it's obvious when it's put in print Wish I had that simplistic look Must be hard going home to comfort and kids and partner and leafy existence When that shit is out there inflicting itself on the place you call home The morals you espouse, the work ethic you preach How hard is it? I got a licence to sell shit I get paid to know dick then spout it in print My words appoint, placate, disguise, evict Surmise, revise, apply, contradict I serve it up, you swallow it If you can imagine my background for a minute Being raised and living out my existence with my partner, my kids, my wine cellar The pen is the needle of the fabric of society And fuck me if there in't some holes in it Call me the seamstress of propriety Helping us all get to sleep at night

Tram Tracks 04:30
I was riding my bike down a not so busy road at a not so busy time of the day I was riding into a headwind not like I need the exercise or aggravation, I look half-starved anyway My mind drifted off the way it shouldn't when you should concentrate Next thing I know I'm heading straight for the road, my first stupid, dumb mistake My head hit the tram tracks Keep your eyes on the road Don't go the faceplant, don't face that Fuck no I was driving my car to my girlfriend's house Mighta had a little too much to drink last time we spoke and may not've been too civil, I just don't know Suffice to say I wasn't concentrating out the front window Out the corner of my eye I saw the tram list to the side and come straight for my door The tram left the tram tracks Come straight for my door The tram left the tram tracks Put me on someone's front lawn The tram eft the tram tracks Put me through someone's front door No knock, no invitation, no nothing Fuck nooooo It hasn't happened lately I wouldn't want it to It took the jaws of life to get me out To get me out I lived to see that day I found my way home

about

Ironic optimism, acid tripping rave tents, a muck raking journalist and some dark humour on the road, straight to the spine.
